Cal-E-forn-I-A!

"You need to update your blog site
'cause to Vegas you've said goodnite.
LA is hosting the gig of Frankenstein
so bolts in the neck are totally in line
and ta-tas still need to be kept out of sight!"

Well, I have officially moved out of Vegas and into Huntington Beach, CA. We have had one week of rehearsal and so far it is going great!  The cast is really nice, the choreography is super fun and the costumes are beautiful!  It feels so nice to be back in a musical; singing, dancing and acting.  I have really missed it.  Not that I'm not extremely thankful for my time on the Celebrity Solstice and in Jubilee!, but there is nothing like a belting, high-kicking, comedic musical.  Here are some pictures from my first week in California.

"Young Frankenstein" rehearsals begin!

The ensemble girls matched without knowing it!

Finally, I went out to dinner with my friend Jamie Kennedy in Hollywood and had my first celebrity citing! Josh Hutcherson plays Peeta Melark in the popular "Hunger Games" movies.  Here is a picture of him and the picture I secretly snapped!

You can't really tell from this picture, but I promise it was him!

...I am happy to announce that I have been cast in Young Frankenstein with Musical Theatre West in Long Beach, CA.  It is a 6 week contract that starts next week.  I am very happy to be getting back to the world of musical theater.  My parents are flying to LA to see my last weekend of shows and then my dad and I will start our cross-country journey back to the Great State of Maine!  I am so looking forward to it!

"A-B-C, It's Easy as 1-2-3"

As a "Farewell Jessica Party" Nate and I decided that the theme for our party would be ABC...Anything But Clothes.  All our guests were told to make their outfit out of anything but clothes!  Here are the pictures of all our guests! Now you need to start thinking about what you would make your costume out of the next time you are invited to an ABC Party!! :)

A Wonderful Wedding

Boy, I guess I am getting old. One of my absolutely oldest and dearest friends got married on Labor Day Weekend.  Katie and I have been friends since middle school.  She has always been the person I call when I need answers, advice, love, gossip and I am so thankful to have her in my life.  So, when I knew that she was getting married to her other half, Michael, I had to find a way to be at the wedding no matter where in the world I was!  Thankfully, I was just a plane ride away and was able to get the time off from work to go.  Here are some pictures from her beautiful day in the back woods of Maine.

And since it is Wedding Season on of my roommates from college, Tinkerbell, is actually getting married today!  Because it was the last weekend of my Jubilee! contract I was unable to attend the wedding, but I am definitely there in spirit! As a way to celebrate the countdown to their big day, Tink and her husband asked their friends to take a picture showing the number of days left and post it to Facebook.  So Nate and I definitely participated and took some pictures to help them celebrate!

Le Reve

Here are some pictures from a show I saw a few weeks ago called "Le Reve". It was a visually stunning, jaw dropping show.  I am so glad that I was able to see it while in Las Vegas!
