Fosse Master Class

Once The Producers opened, I had so much free time.  And what better way to use up time and stay in shape than to take a dance master class?!  Leslie, one of the girls in my show, found this Fosse Master Class at the Debbie Reynolds Studio in North Hollywood.  It was 3 hours a day for 5 days.  And was taught by Kathryn Doby (Bob Fosse's assistant) and Sandhal Bergman (Bob Fosse's star performer).  It was a priceless opportunity!  We spent each day learning Fosse choreography from his Broadway shows and movies.  I am so thankful for this amazing experience!  Who knows what doors will be opened to me, now that I have this training.

Performing at Plummer Auditorium

The first 3 weeks of our show, we performed at Plummer Auditorium in Fullerton, CA.  It was an amazing experience.  I love doing this show.  Singing the songs.  Dancing the dances.  Wearing the costumes.  Sharing the stage with such talented people!  I am so looking forward to our last two weeks and to hopefully being able to do The Producers again sometime in the future!

Trek to California

On January 3rd, I was supposed to fly to California to start my contract with 3DTheatricals in The Producers.  Thanks to the beautiful Maine snow, I got to the Portland Jetport only to find that my flight had been cancelled!  The next flight that I could be rebooked on wasn't until Monday, January 6th.  My rehearsals started on Sunday, so I knew I would be missing two days of rehearsal.  Oh well.  I woke up bright and early on Monday morning only to find that my flight had been cancelled AGAIN!  I tried to call the airline, but could never get through because so many people were trying to call and fix their also cancelled flights.  So, I woke up my lovely brother and we drove to the airport to talk with the representatives at the airport.  Despite, staying there for over two hours, hounding all of the airline people and even checking other airlines, the soonest they could rebook me was Thursday, January 9th!  I would miss an entire week of rehearsals!  I was beyond frustrated.  I went home and cried because there was nothing I could do.  My parents and I looked into buses, trains...Andrew even commented that he wished we had just driven after my first Friday flight was cancelled.  That would have been quite the road trip!  After a lot of tears were shed, I took the situation into my own hands and did all that I could.  I got online looking for other possible flights and called the service line until I was able to get through to a person.  It was exhausting.  But on Tuesday I finally found a flight online out of Boston!  However, of course, I was unable to book it online!  So, I relentlessly called until I got through and the lady was able to book me on a morning flight out of Boston on Thursday.  I missed four days of rehearsals, but made it to rehearsal Thursday evening.  I was still running on East Coast time and had been traveling for more than 24 hours, but landing in California was amazing.  I literally laughed when I got off the plane in Long Beach.  And I was BEYOND happy to finally be at rehearsal for The Producers.  Thank goodness!

I have a flight!!

Making the best out of a bad situation...Enjoying the Maine snow with my family!
