"Drowsy Chaperone" Opening Night!

"Another Op'ning, Another Show"

Last night was opening night for "The Drowsy Chaperone" at The Norris Center in Rolling Hills, CA.  The audience was lively, the actors were on point and I think that it was an extremely successful opening to our little gem of a show.  Here are some of the press photos as well as a few from the opening night after party.

World's Best Grandpa

Monday morning Heaven welcomed another amazing man, my grandfather. I am so sad, but know that he is in a better place, watching over me every second. Around Gorham, he was known as the man who carried the naked man Abercrombie bag everywhere.... He was so lucky, he won any raffle he entered...even if he didn't have a car to fill with the car card he won. He always had an inspiring story about work and overcoming obstacles...but he claimed to not be the smart one in his family. I don't think I have ever met a more intelligent man in my life. Every year, I would go "school shopping" in his guest bedroom. Pens, binders, paper, pencils, erasers. Anything I needed, Grandpa had. He claimed to have two strippers in his basement. Come to find out, what he meant were two PAPER SHREDDERS, but I will never forget that! And probably, my favorite part, his fashion sense. Grandpa wouldn't leave the house without a bow tie, handmade by my mom. And he was always eager to tell anyone who complimented him, "My daughter made it!" A piece of my heart is gone with him, but he is at peace and with my grandmother now. I love you, Grandpa. Now you and Grandma have a front row seat at all my shows.

First week of "Drowsy"

Here are some pictures from my first week back in California.

3 Weeks in NYC

In between contracts, I was able to go to New York City for auditions, seeing friends, seeing shows and living the big city life.  About 48 hours after closing The Producers and taking the red-eye back to Maine, I hopped on a 7 hour bus to the Big Apple.

What a difference a day makes
Red-eye view of Los Angeles
Thank you Cyndy and Bruce for my beautiful luggage!!
I <3 NYC!  I was able to catch up on all the Broadway shows that I missed by being in California and Las Vegas pretty much all last year.  My brother visited one weekend and Mom and Dad visited the next!  I took dance classes, had coffee with friends, saw friends perform and even was able to work two events.  Thank you New York for a great three weeks!  I can’t wait to be back.
