Arts and Crafts

Just because I haven't shared a blog post recently doesn't mean that I haven't been doing anything interesting!  I have been very busy with rehearsals for Catch Me If You Can here in Vista, California, but not so busy that I haven't had some time for myself.  I took that time for myself to do some arts and crafts projects.

Last Sunday was "Crop Top Sunday" for our rehearsal and Designer Run.  Three of the boys decided they were going to cut a shirt to make a crop top. I got to keep the scraps and decided I wanted to do something fun with them.  I went on Pinterest and found some amazing ideas.  I think you will be impressed with the results!

My second project was for the show.  Our choreographer decided that the girls should be extra special (duh) and have sparkly shoes.  Luckily, I had an extra pair of character shoes and was more than happy to give them a makeover.  Here is the final result.  I am obsessed with them! I can't stop staring at them :)

North Haven, Maine

For the first time since 2011, I was able to take a vacation to my favorite place on Earth.  It was a wonderful extended weekend with my family.  I am so thankful to be from Maine and to have such an amazing family.

The Life of an Atmosphere Model

Recently, a lot of friends have asked me about the gigs that I have been doing here in New York City, so I thought I would dedicate a post to all the amazing gigs I have been able to do since coming here at the end of May.  I work through a company called Tryon Entertainment.  They are hired by party planners to provide models and other entertainment for some of the most lavish parties I have seen!  From Bat Mitzvahs to wedding receptions to birthday parties and graduation events, the parties I have worked at are amazing.  Here is a little sampling of some of the gigs:

80s Themed Birthday Party in the Hamptons - "Addicted to Love" Girls

Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party at The Boom Boom Room at the top of The Standard Hotel

Rock 'n Roll Graduation/Birthday Party at The Edison Ballroom

WeWork Galactic Headquarters Launch Party

(We were Instagram stars!!)

After-Wedding Reception Party in Washington DC

Heineken Corporate Party

Private Party in the Hamptons

I absolutely love working these gigs.  I love getting my hair and make-up done, wearing fun costumes, posing for pictures and helping celebrate people's special occasions!
